Taking to the Skies

This is for my book talk that I have to give this week! I'm doing my report on the one and only Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment. Great book, but the series has gone way downhill since its first three books. Oh well, whatever.

Lemme start on some background for this pic. I was originally going to make a full-color picture like my Artemis Fowl piece, but then I realized that I'm completely out of time, lol. (the first talks are being given tomorrow).

So after reading the latest SYAC by Tom Preston, I decided to make it a silhouette. And it worked. Silhouettes are easy, but look arty. o3o So...voila!

I don't particularly like Tom Preston and I disagree with some of his views, but I owe him for this one!

Anywho, so yeah. In the book, Max (the main character) has wings with a 13-foot wingspan, but there's no way I'd be able to draw that properly, so I made mini-wings. xD I looked at a couple of tutorials and studied some wing anatomy, and if I do say so myself, the wing turned out great!

So yeah, pretty content with this one. 8D Hang in there guys, I'll actually be able to post consistently in a couple of weeks, when school gets out! <3
